William F. Wolf Elected Chair of the Board; Marianne Haver Hill is Executive Director
Sherman Oaks, CA – The Community Foundation of the Valleys announce the election of William F. Wolf, CPA, CFF, CFE, MBA, as the chair of the board of the Community Foundation of the Valleys (“the Foundation”). Wolf is partner emeritus with Baker Tilly US, LLP, with offices in Encino and throughout the U.S. Wolf is an expert in tax and estate planning, auditing and also serves as an expert witness on a variety of accounting-related matters. Wolf, who has served as a board member since 2011, said the Community Foundation of the Valleys is poised to meet the financial investment needs of donors while at the same time, serving the needs of the community. Wolf said, “I’m honored to have the opportunity to lead this organization at a time of significant change. Our priorities are straightforward. We will continue our mission to facilitate charitable giving for lasting impact for those who live in the greater San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys.” Wolf went on to say, “our board members want to see thoughtful financial investments from individuals, businesses and corporations who want to see positive social and community change.”
In addition to the election of Wolf, the Community Foundation of the Valleys announces Marianne Haver Hill, as executive director. Haver Hill served as the Foundation’s board chair since 2020 and has been a board member since 2012. Haver Hill was most recently the executive director of PROPEL LA – the implementation of a Los Angeles Countywide strategic plan for economic development. She led a team that worked with more than 500 stakeholders as they operationalized the plan’s more than 100 strategies that focused on investing in education, workforce development and creating more livable wage jobs. Prior to joining PROPEL LA, Haver Hill served as the CEO of MEND (Meet Each Need with Dignity), one of the largest and most comprehensive poverty relief agencies in Los Angeles. Under her leadership, MEND was named the California Nonprofit of the Year by the Governor’s Office for Volunteering and Service. “Marianne is poised to lead the Community Foundation of the Valleys,” said Wolf. “Her understanding of social issues such as homelessness, poverty, community development and serving the needs of the underserved,” come at an important time as the Community Foundation of the Valleys implements its new strategic plan.” Haver Hill stated, “I am proud to be selected as the executive director. I’m looking forward to moving the Foundation towards the future and ensuring that the communities we serve have the opportunity for success.”
The election of Wolf and the appointment of Haver Hill are effective immediately.
